Brenan's 8th Grade Promotion

Last Day of 8th Grade. Yikes, High School here we come...no more Jr. High for the Corbin Family. Another door closed. I think that's a good thing!
This is Will and Eric, friends since Kindergarten. I was lucky to get these. Brenan was not in the picture taking mode. Is he ever? It's a teenage thing, bummer!
I couldn't even get a picture of Brenan with his parents! Sad, we aren't cool enough for him-so here's what we look like, he'll probably care in a few years!

Prop 8 Upheld!!! Hoorah...

Prop 8 Upheld

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The California Supreme Court has upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage, but it also decided that the estimated 18,000 gay couples who tied the knot before the law took effect will stay wed.
The decision Tuesday rejected an argument by gay rights activists that the ban revised the California constitution's equal protection clause to such a dramatic degree that it first needed the Legislature's approval.
The announcement of the decision caused outcry among a sea of demonstrators who had gathered in front of the San Francisco courthouse awaiting the ruling.

Wow, the supreme court did it. They heard us! I know however this fight is not over...

Stake Conference Flowers

I've been doing Stake Conference flowers for 8 years now. I never know what I'm going to do. On my trip to the flower wholesaler, my hope is that they have some extraordinary flowers for me to choose from. Some of my absolute favorites are in season. To name a few- pussy willows, cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, peonies, spider mums, which you can see in this arrangement. The heads on these hydrangeas are incredible. White blue-ish tint color with pink tipped petals and huge and puffy, these are stunning! This hot pink peony is a fav. Probably one of my all time favorite arrangements. This picture falls short of doing it justice. The thing about doing these arrangements is that they are beautiful no matter what I do because they speak for themselves. The Lord's creations need no introduction, they stand alone....
